Sport Coaches Burnout as a Threat to Professional Success, Mental Health and Well-Being

The article explores motivational and personality predictors of burnout syndrome in sports coaches. study involved 183 coaches 20–63 years old (86.9% women; M=41.34±10.56 years), with professional experience for 13.83±9.98 years. Three components ― Emotional exhaustion, Depersonification Reduction achievements were measured the adapted Maslach inventory (Vodopyanova, et al 2008). Motivational aspects Ryan Connell Professional Motivation (Osin al, 2017). Personal resources stress resistance, authenticity coping strategies Connor-Davidson Stress Resilience Scale (Nartova-Bochaver al., 2021), Moscow Authenticity (Reznichenko 2021) Proactive Coping Questionnaire (Belinskaya 2018). results showed that amotivation external motives activity are linked positively internal motivation negatively to burnout. Furthermore, links between types different combinations mediated by authenticity, skills prevent strongest link personal was revealed achievements; weakest context a coach. Burnout also age coaches' experience. data obtained can be used form preventive interventions reduce increase their performance, mental health subjective well-being.
